Ingredients
- 10 – 12 Chilean mandarin oranges
- 1 Chilean lemon
- 1 cup white sugar
Directions
- Peel mandarins and remove the white pith as much as possible and chop mandarin segments into small pieces.
- Zest and juice the lemon and add to orange slices.
- In large saucepan, add in oranges. Over high heat, bring mixture to a full rolling boil, stirring frequently. Add sugar and stir constantly until boiling again.
- Remove from heat and pour into hot jars.
- Allow jars to rest for 5 minutes, then remove and allow to cool.
Embrace mandarins in season with a decadent sweet jam. Perfect to add to your toasts in the morning or if you’re feeling fancy, you can easily turn it into a syrup with waffles or pancakes.
